First InboxDollars Payout!

I just requested my first payment from InboxDollars, a paid to complete offers site, that pays members to complete a series of tasks such as completing offers, reading e-mails, taking surveys, shopping online, playing games, searching the internet, watching videos, using coupons, and referring new members.

You get $5 just for signing up for Inboxdollars and then can request payout once you've earned $30.  Payout is via check or a re-loadable Visa card.  I did quite a few 100% free offers yesterday and my balance today was $33.18 so I decided it was time to cash out.  When I went to redeem I was offered for Inboxdollars to pay my redemption fee if I waited until my balance was $40 to cash out.  Unfortunately, I decided to see what the processing fee was ($3.00) and then when I tried to go back and get that option, I was out of luck. So future InboxDollar members, take that offer if you can!

However, a surprise bonus that I was not expecting is that after I requested payment, I received a $3 "first payout request" bonus (awesome, negates my not letting them "pay my processing fee") and then given the option to do a survey about payout for another $2.  I did the survey and it was super short so now my balance is $5.  Just another $25 until my next payout! I added it up and the current 100% free offers total over $40 alone, so I plan to spend the rest of the week doing those and hopefully getting my second payout very soon!

Additionally, because I requested my first payout, I am now a gold member which means that I will get paid even more for referring new members and get paid more for my web search through InboxDollars.

If you're interested in making money with InboxDollars, you can sign up here.

Free Frozen DVD!

Today, I discovered Walmart and TopCashBack are doing a promotion for a free copy of Disney's Frozen on DVD or Blu-Ray!  You not only can get the movie, but some extra cash on top of that!

In order to get the free DVD, simply sign up for TopCashBack here.

Then search Walmart and click the orange cash back button.

Once you get to the Walmart site, you can read the instructions for the promotion on the page, but here's what it is:

  • Click the large, orange "Get Cash Back Now" button and you'll be taken to Walmart.com.
  • Search for Frozen and either buy the regular DVD for $14.96 (You will get $17.00 cash back) or
  • buy the Blu-Ray for $19.96 (You will get $22.00 cash back).
  • Select to have the DVD picked up at the store or a local FedEx Office location. Shipping is free.
The reason the cash back is more than the DVD price is to cover taxes.  I actually made money off the deal!

I ordered the regular DVD (the Blu-Ray was sold out) and my total cost was $15.91. Therefore, I will not only get the Frozen DVD for free, but I'll receive an extra $1.09 cash back!

If you want to get in on this deal, hurry up and get started here because it's only good today (Friday, March 21, 2014)!

Hi Everyone!

So I'm an attorney by day but at night, on weekends, and in my spare time, I write articles, blogs, and create webpages in an attempt to make some extra money.  I graduated law school with nearly $150,000 in debt and a first job out of law school paying my $530 per week for an annual salary of $27,560.  When my loans came due 9 months after graduation, I was expected to pay $1800 per month!

"Luckily," I could extend my repayment period to make the monthly payments less--although still more than I made when added to my rent, utilities, and other living expenses.  At that rate I would also be paying my loans until I'm 50.  So much for having kids, sending them to college, or buying a house.

In hopes of making extra money, I searched online for ways to make money online.  In college, I used to use paid to click sites and paid to sign-up sites to make some extra cash and earn gift cards.  They did not pay that much.  Little did I know that you can get paid to write online.  I started with eHow and soon was making $80 per month there.  I diversified to other platforms, which was smart as eHow cancelled their Writer's Compensation program.

Since then, I've been writing on multiple web 2.0 platforms and creating my own blogs trying to earn extra money both via advertising on my blogs and through affiliate marketing.  I try to write about things I'm passionate about or enjoy such as how I'm making money, pop culture/entertainment, natural remedies, gift ideas and more.  Also, anytime I have a question or find myself wondering about something and searching for an answer on the internet, after I've researched and found my answer,I write an article or blog post about it.

Anyway, after nearly four years of writing online and creating blogs, I've never had a blog dedicated to just me and my interests and thoughts.  I decided to start now.  This blog will be more about my passing thoughts and experiences with occasional links to some of my other writing platforms.  You can always follow my other blogs by clicking any of the buttons at the top of this blog.
